CONCERNED COMMUNICATOR AWARD 07 CEREMONY…
The Gurus of Advertising inspire the creative mavens!
The much awaited and exciting Concerned Communicator Award Ceremony
took place at a gala event at ITC Grand Maratha Sheraton, Sahar in Mumbai
on 1st Feb’08, where the enthusiasm was reaching new heights.
It was the tenth encore for the Rajasthan Patrika’s Concerned
Communicator Award for social advertising and it culminated into an
exciting award ceremony. The advertising fraternity of India witnessed
a legendary event with a panel discussion featuring a never before confluence
of forces. The gurus of advertising and esteemed judges of CCA:
Mr. Piyush Pandey, Mr. Prasoon Joshi, Mr. Prahlad Kakkar, Mr. Kaushik
Roy and Mr. Bharat Dabholkar were the members of the panel
and the discussion was presided by the ultimate daddy of advertising
Mr. Mohammad Khan himself. The discussion included
matters concerning social advertising, its impact and limitations, which
became exciting at each point with great minds together for dialogue
the progression was an irresistible treat for the intellect.
The impressive presence of the corporate conglomerate was overwhelming,
to say the least. It reiterated the fact that the Concerned Communicator
Award is truly an award for true creative minds and leading this awards
night into its crescendo was the ever-fantastic Neville Gomes &
Mohammad Khan. Mohammad Khan was his good old self, making a perfect
match for the maddening, almost deafening enthusiasm of the agency guys.
The cheering crowd ensured that their encouraging shouts only multiplied
in effect. Each time a category was announced, the joy rose to a new
high and the audience got an idea about how victory sounds to the advertising
world and their clients.
Mr. Ramesh Kumar from Triton Communications, Delhi
was announced as the winner of US $ 11,000 for his
entry “Domestic violence has many faces”,
which talks about an entirely different but sensitive issue.
CCA-Unicef Special Mention Award went to Mr.
Swapnil Kambli and team from Interface Communications,
Mumbai for their entry “Stop Child Labour”.
Mr. David Droga from Droga 5, USA was announced the
winner in international category for the entry “Tap Project”
which is about saving water. Other awards included 12
Special Mentions that went to various agencies including Publicis
India, Amo Communications, Saatchi and Saatchi, Bates David Enterprises,
Srijan Advertising, Everest Brand Solutions, Interface Communications,
Mudra Communications, R K Swamy BBDO, Triton Communication and Ogilvy
& Mather. Best 50 winners were also announced in
ceremony.
The whole event also cherished the moments when Make A Wish
Foundation, with the help of Rajasthan Patrika, fulfilled the
wishes of 5 children, and the honour was done by out honorable Judges
and MD of Rajasthan Patrika Group, Mr. Gulab Kothari.
Ambassadors for concerned communicator award were Maneka Gandhi, Anupam
Kher, Kiran Bedi, Shabana Azmi, John Abraham, Raveena Tandon and Sabrina
Lall. Business stalwart Mr. Narayan Murthy and literary genius Mr. Salman
Rushdie launched the award posters to mark the beginning of the coveted
award. Rajasthan Patrika’s Concerned Communicator Award was in
association with agencyfaqs, IAA, AAAI, The advertising club Bombay,
INMA, Ifra, PETA, UNICEF, Make a Wish, Cinemax, CNBC TV18, Kingfisher
Airlines, visageimages, Bright Advertising and Yahoo India.
The ad world has always perceived to evolve tastes and refined sensibilities.
Entertainment at the Rajasthan Patrika’s Concerned Communicator
Award 07 ceremony truly matched the ad world spirit. The joy, the glory
and the success finally drowned itself in food & beverages and CCA’07
left nobody in doubt that it is truly 'effective' …
